How Does NTI Work To Prevent Teeth Grinding?
Tips To Stop Teeth Grinding
- Avoid or cut back on foods and drinks which contain caffeine, such as sodas, chocolate, and coffee.
- Avoid alcohol. Grinding has the tendency to magnify after alcohol intake.
- Do not chew on pencils or pens or anything that is not food. Avoid chewing gum as it allows your jaw muscles to get more used to clinching and makes you most likely to grind your teeth.
- Train yourself not to clench or grind your teeth. If you discover that you clench or grind during the day, position the pointer of your tongue in between your teeth. This practice trains your jaw muscles to relax.
- Relax your jaw muscles in the evening by holding a warm wash cloth versus your cheek in front of your earlobe.
